There is no need to repeatedly strike the tool with a hammer, making the process quieter, more controlled and easier to use in a wide range of working environments.

Japanese Blue Paper Steel No. 2 Cutting Edge

The cutting edge is made from Aogami No. 2 (Blue Paper Steel No. 2), a high-carbon Japanese tool steel known for its excellent sharpness and edge performance. A clean, sharp edge is especially important when cutting leather, as it helps produce a smooth corner without crushing or tearing the material.

The tool is fitted with a natural keyaki (Japanese zelkova) wood handle, providing a comfortable and traditional feel in the hand.
